General Science

The Judson College teacher preparation program combines laboratory-based science work with practical, school-based experiences in grades 6-12 to prepare you for professional certification to teach science in middle and high schools. You earn a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Science and Biology Education (grades 6-12). You’ll be prepared to teach a wide range of science courses found in the modern high school.

Teacher candidates receive hands-on laboratory experiences in the Judson College classroom that provide a model for making learning exciting for students in 6-12 classrooms.  There is a shortage of highly prepared teachers in general science, and scholarships, grants, and loan-forgiveness programs may be available for teacher candidates who want to share their love of science.
