Students have many opportunities to learn about the natural history of local ecosystems and to be involved in efforts to create, restore, and preserve natural areas while attending Judson College. The Biology Department has a long history of community service to the local Cahaba River through our leadership in developing Perry Lakes Park and the new Eiland Cahaba River Outdoor Laboratory.
Judson College has the only college chapter of the Cahaba River Society (CRS). We sponsor an annual Cahaba River Society membership drive that includes a canoe trip down the Cahaba River lead by directors of the CRS.
