Best Online College in Alabama 2017, #1
Affordable Colleges Online

AffordableCollegesOnline.com released its 2016-2017 list of the Best Online Colleges. Judson’s Distance Learning program ranked #1 in Alabama and #32 in the nation. According to Affordable Colleges Online, colleges in the rankings list have gone a step further than just offering online degrees; they have “develop[ed] online learning environments that include highly trained faculty, new technology and resources, and online support services to help students achieve educational and career success.”

Accredited Schools Online

Accredited Schools Online compiled a list of accredited colleges in Alabama that have “demonstrated excellence when it comes to online learning, giving their student bodies the best combinations of course volume, academic quality, and resources inside the virtual classroom.” Ranking methodology included examinations of each program’s acceptance and graduation rates, program availability, affordability, and student services offerings.  Judson is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate degrees and the associate degree in nursing. BestColleges.com released its 2017 list of Best Colleges in each state. Judson’s distance learning program ranked #9 of listed 4-year colleges in Alabama. According to BestColleges, colleges in this list were ranked based on academic quality, affordability, and student experience. Using National Center for Education Statistics data from IPEDS and the College Navigator, the methodology took into account each school’s admissions, enrollment, retention, and graduation rates, as well as average price and student-to-faculty ratio.

Learn How to Become released its 2017 list of the Best Online Christian Colleges and the Most Affordable Online Colleges. Judson ranked #3 of 50 Best Online Christian Colleges and #2 of 50 Most Affordable Online Colleges. According to the Learn How to Become website, the rankings represent colleges that “deliver the highest educational value based on factors such as tuition, financial aid, student/teacher ratio, and average graduate earnings.”

Christian Universities Online, seeking to “highlight faith-based institutions offering some of the best online undergraduate degree programs available,” chose 50 members of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) for recognition. Ranking colleges that “have more to offer when it comes to online degrees,” Christian Universities Online built its list based on number of academic programs delivered completely online and average tuition cost.
