Judson Scholarship Exams
At Scholarship Day, high school seniors and college transfer students who have applied to Judson can take a general aptitude test to compete for institutional academic scholarships. Awards are based on performance on the scholarship exam, character references, high school transcripts, and standardized test scores. Judson Scholarship Awards may applied to any bachelor’s degree program at Judson.
Awards offered at the September Scholarship Day include:
- One full-tuition scholarship
- Five partial-tuition scholarships
Performing Arts Auditions
There will be time during Scholarship Day for you to audition for the following performing arts scholarships:
- Instrumental (strings, woodwinds, brass, & percussion)
For music auditions, you will be asked to perform two compositions of contrasting style from the standard repertoire in your performing area such as: a Bach two-part invention, a movement from a sonata, standard art song repertoire, or an instrumental etude. Select repertoire that will best demonstrate your musical skills and potential. An accompanist will be provided, so you must bring along your piano accompaniment(s). Memorization is required for vocal and piano auditions.
Performing arts scholarship awards are based on your audition and recommendations from the performing arts faculty members. For more information about what you need to prepare for an audition, contact the Admissions Office or call (800) 447-9472.
Bring your athletic gear and try out for a spot on one of our athletic teams. Are you an in-season athlete? Don’t worry! There’ll be opportunities for you to try out later in the year. Contact the Admissions Office or your recruiter for details.
