Preparations for another busy weekend are already under way and it is only Tuesday!
This weekend, Judson is holding its Scholarship/Preview Day - a day when high school seniors interested in Judson can come visit campus, talk to professors, talk to current students, and learn what Judson is all about first hand. What is unique about scholarship day from other Judson visitation days, is that the visiting students take part in a standardized test enablingthem to be eligible for scholarships based on their results.
If you have ever wondered about Judson and thought that you may be interested in attending Judson or are, at least, interested in getting some more information on Judson, you should come for Scholarship Day Saturday, Nov. 14. If you are interested, call 1-800-447-9472 to register for Saturday’s Scholarship Day or, to request additional information about Judson.
On top of it being scholarship day, Saturday is the IHSA horse show hosted by Judson. So, if for no other reason, you should come out to see the show and support the Judson equestrian team!
Though it is exciting to be able to ride in a show hosted by your school, I must say that this is probably the show that I am looking the least forward to... When we go to shows at other schools, we aren't familiar with the horses that we are going to be riding - we don’t know if we will like or dislike them. When we ride in the Judson show, however, we know all of the horses and have had the opportunity to ride them all. I think that my feelings toward this show is from the fear of having to ride a horse that I do not ride so well, when I know that there are other horses in the show that I can ride much better.
