I can’t believe that it is finally over. My time at good ole’ JC has come to a close. I must say that I am sad, but I must also say that I am happy. I have a bachelors degree. I can now boast that I am a graduate of the best college in the state of Alabama!
For me, Judson was a starting point. It is the place where I grew into the woman that I am today. I learned how to be assertive yet kind. I also learned how to preserver through hard times. Yes, there were hard times. I cannot lie and say that it was easy. There were times that I stayed up for 35 hours because I had to write final papers and study for final exams. There were days that I had tennis practice, step sing practice, and lesson plans to finish after a day filled with classes. There were also wonderful times. There were nights that I attended cooking club and dance class with my best friends. There were many movie nights and snow/winter weather days in my 2 1/2 years at JC. I can say that I loved my time at Judson College! I am thankful for the friendships that I formed and for the bonds that will be forever held.
With all of that said, Graduation was bitter sweet. As I walked across the stage I was proud to accept my diploma from Dr. Potts. Did you know that he offered congratulations to each of us individually as we crossed the stage? What other college can boast that the President speaks with each individual graduate on their special day? I bet that Judson is one of the few.
As I write about my graduation, I must also write farewell. This will be my final post and I am sad to say goodbye. I am excited to say that I have a job at Headland High School. I will be an English teacher/volleyball coach/basketball coach. I can’t wait to begin! Wish me luck.
I will miss you!
