ROTC & Judson College
Judson College has many unique
traditions with our neighbor, Marion Military Institute (MMI) – the oldest
Military Junior College in the United States. In that spirit, Judson and MMI
have partnered together to offer qualified students the opportunity to
participate in the Army ROTC program through MMI. As one of MMI’s Army
ROTC satellite programs, we can offer an exclusive opportunity for our students
to learn, engage in and execute dynamic leadership skills, while earning a
degree and a commission as a Second Lieutenant into the U.S. Army Active
Component, Army Reserves or Army National Guard.

How It Works
The Army ROTC program at Judson is a four-year
program that allows a college student to earn a commission as a Second
Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. An Army ROTC student attending Judson
College will face all of the same
requirements for admission as a traditional student.
Army ROTC students, however, will attend regular academic classes at Judson
College AND ROTC classes, such as
Military Science and a weekly Leadership Lab, at MMI - less than 10 blocks from
Judson’s campus. ROTC students may choose from Judson's list of academic majors and minors
list when deciding upon their course of study.
The Benefits
If
awarded a four-year Army ROTC scholarship to Judson College under the
student-elected "tuition" option, then the Army ROTC will pay the
student's tuition for four years (costs for boarding are not included),
provide her with a $600 per semester book stipend and a monthly cadet
stipend, which increases the longer she remains enrolled in college.
An Army ROTC scholarship to
attend Judson is valued at $68,800. All Army ROTC scholarships come with
an eight year commitment to the Army, which can be served on
active-duty or in the Army Reserves or Army National Guard.
