Qualifications for Army ROTC Admissions 
   
 
 
 

 

Founded in 1916, Army ROTC remains the broadest avenue for men and women seeking to serve as officers in America's Army.  Army ROTC can offer a student a four, three or two year Army ROTC scholarship. To be a member of the ROTC and qualify for scholarships, a student must:

  • Have a GPA of at least 2.5
  • Have an ACT of 19 or SAT of 920
  • Be willing to sign an ROTC contract and accept a commission as an officer in the U.S. Army
  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Be a high school graduate or have a GED
  • Pass an Army PT test
  • Have no legal issues

Army ROTC scholarships also provide monthly living allowances for each school year.  You can earn certain amounts depending on your level in the Army ROTC curriculum:

1st year  -     $300 per month
2nd year -     $350 per month
3rd year  -     $450 per month
4th year  -     $500 per month
