JUDSON CHOIR TOUR

Study / Travel opportunities are still a rather new concept at Judson College, one that became popular following Judson's first ever concert choir trip to the British Isles in 1980. Ever since that time, the choir has taken an overseas tour every three years, singing in both Baptist churches and famous cathedrals. Most recent choir trips have included tours of:

• England, Wales and Scotland
• Performances in Carnegie Hall, New York
• In 2010, choir toured three states - Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina for a total of nine performances. Many of the performances were in churches and public schools, where the choir members found chances to work in the community and interact with high school students. 
• Spring 2009 tour included both singing and participating in ministry / mission's opportunities in Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi and Texas.

CULTURAL STUDIES IN ITALY

Every three years, students and other interested parties, along with faculty and /or staff from the Humanities Department at Judson College, embark upon an educational adventure involving art, literature and architecture beginning in Florence, Italy and covering that region over a period of 16 days and nights. Those students taking CUL 211 receive 4 hours of class credit for the trip.

Estimated Cost per student for Studies Tour (price dependant on economy at time of trip):        $3,800        

Learn what it's like to feel "globally connected" as you tour museums and churches, stand next to Michaelangelo's David or walk through the Roman Catacombs. Participating students will be required to keep a journal of their experiences. Nights will be spent in 3-star hotels.

This trip requires walking at least 15 miles a day for some tours.
