JC AMBASSADOR BY-LAWS

What Is Our Purpose?
The purpose of this organization is:

• To promote Judson College
• To recruit students
• To conduct campus tours
• To serve as overnight hostesses to guests on campus 
• To assist in the implementation of freshmen
• To serve as hostesses at teas for the Board of Trustees, Governors, and Advisors and,
• To promote the College in any way possible through the high schools and other social contacts

What Are Our Responsibilities?
A Student Ambassador has a responsibility to:

•  Serve Judson as student recruiters and assist the Admissions Office on or off campus.  Each ambassdor is required to complete two visits a year from the following list:  high school visit, attend a college fair wtih an admissions representative, church visit or alumnae function.
  
• Serve as a public relations representative for JC at the Alabama Baptist Convention and teas for the Board of Trustees, Governors, and Advisors as well as any other necessary events.
  
• Assist in or conduct campus tours when visitors are on campus
  
• Assist on College Days or on other special occassions
  
• Serve for hostess for overnight guests in the residence halls

Ambassadors hold monthly meetings to connect as a group or discuss any issues.

What We Wear
All Student Ambassadors are required to purchase the appropriate items needed to complete the orientation uniform. The college provides each ambassador with the official red ambassador blazer. The rest of the uniform consists of:

• Straight black skirt of an appropriate length with no slits
• White shell
• Shear nude hose
• Black heels
• The only jewelry allowed is pearls

Our Members
Our ambassador leaders are known as the "Executive Panel."  These positions are generally as follows:

• Ambassador President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Co-Events Coordinators
• Treasurer
• Ambassador Sponsor

In order to qualify for the positions of President, Vice President, or Sr. Events Coordinator, a member must be completing or have completed one year service as an ambassador.

Our membership will not exceed 24 active members and all members are required to pay annual dues of $10 each.
