In a world where many college students have dreams of becoming teachers or lawyers, of becoming doctors or learning new forms of art, you find yourself with a unique passion: horses. You love the time you spend with these creatures and the experiences you've had, but you're just not sure how horses could fit into your idea of a successful future career. What things could you study about horses? What type of job could you find? We've designed a degree tailored specifically to your interests!

Equine Science at Judson College will offer students a major package that includes courses from several different academic departments. You can expect to take courses in biology, psychology, business, and, of course, equine studies.

... So many possibilities!  Majoring in Equine Science could qualify you for careers in areas as diverse as equestrian-focused residential parks, equine journalism, and therapeutic riding (instruction and training). Other careers might include:

Our Equine students often have opportunities to intern with such prestigious places as KEMI (Kentucky Equine Management Internship program), which offers them an unbelievable career advantage when they graduate.

Studies Aren't All You'll Find!
Judson also offers a competitive IHSA equestrian riding team. Though you must try out to be a member of the team, regular riding classes are also offered to anyone interested in horseback riding, from beginners to more advanced riders.
