The Facility
The Judson College Nursing Program classes are located in the Charlotte G. Lowder Science Building – an outstanding facility that provides excellent equipment for presenting contemporary lectures and laboratories - and Jewett Hall - a multi-million dollar facility equipped with classrooms, offices, and our nursing skills lab.
The Charlotte G. Lowder Science Building
In Lowder, Judson students have access to a new digital
microscope which is used both for laboratory demonstrations and
research. The molecular biology laboratory houses modern equipment for sequencing DNA and for culturing microorganisms. The new water monitoring equipment allows for measurements of temperature, pH-level, and dissolved oxygen. The chemistry lab also houses spectrophotometer for student use. All classrooms are Internet and multimedia ready. Both a seminar room and lounge are available for club meetings, relaxation, and studying.
Fact: All Judson College freshmen use research grade binocular microscopes in their very first laboratory experience
The Adams Armstrong Lecture Hall is the largest of the classroom space in Lowder and is equipped with a projection system, High Definition television screen, ELMO, and multiple white boards.
The James I. Harrison Center for Academic Excellence
Nursing classes are mainly taught in the Nursing Department, housed on third floor in Jewett Hall. Jewett
Hall is the main building on front campus where departmental offices,
classrooms, computer labs, chapel, and dining hall are located. Jewett Hall is a multi-million dollar facility that underwent renovations in 2003.
