Intramural Sports

Intramural sports give students an opportunity to participate in a wider range of sports and recreational activities. All registered students are invited and encouraged to participate in our intramural sports program.

Judson College offers two main intramural sports during the fall and spring semesters:

* Intramural Field Hockey
* Intramural Basketball

Intramural basketball is offered during the spring semester. Each of the three residence halls has a team. Day students may choose to play on any of these teams. The teams begin with evening practices and then play a number of games against each other leading up to Parents' Day, a Judson event held annually. The bottom two teams play each other in a game, followed by a championship game between the winner of that game and the number one team from the "intramural season."

 Intramural field hockey is offered in the fall semester. Teams are compromised of students from each class. Students practice during the afternoons leading up to Hockey Day, a Judson event traditionally held the first weekend in November.

On Hockey Day the two teams compete against each other in a "championship game" followed by an All-Star vs. Alumnae game. The All-Star team is voted on by the students. Alumnae from various classes return to participate in this annual event.
