RELIGIOUS STUDIES
The B.A. in Religious Studies leads the student to broaden her knowledge of God and the Bible, inspiring her to delve deeply into the complex issues and critical concerns of the Christian faith. Religion courses at Judson provide the opportunity to engage in the rigorous academic study of religion within an environment of higher learning and faith. Some of our recent Religion graduates are pursuing advanced degrees in Theology, History, English, or other fields. Some are employed in ministry positions with churches, Christian organizations, or service organizations such as Habitat for Humanity. All of our Religion graduates are equipped for a lifetime of Christian service, whether through vocational ministry or volunteer service. With our new option of study in Missiology, now students interested in becoming missionaries can have a main academic focus! Our Missiology concentration will have all of the course requirements as the Religious Studies major, only with specific, additional course offerings tailored just for that concentration. Check out the details, HERE! *Photo caption: Judson College's church history class toured the chapel at Beeson Divinity School on Dec. 4, 2009 where the church's story is told through art and sculptures. Professor Scott Bullard said the group enjoyed scenes of Jesus' life from the annunciation to the crucifixion, and pictures of Christian saints including Augustine, Southern Baptist heroine Lottie Moon and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. *For further information about Religion at Judson, contact:
