A Different Program...
If you value traditions, opportunity, and success, Judson College is the place for you. We prepare young women for productive employment in the equine industry. Judson is one of only a few colleges in the Southeast where a student can choose to minor in equine science. Students also have a unique opportunity to combine majors through our interdisciplinary majors program. This combination could lead to a major in business and equine science, if a student wanted an equibusiness major.

Our Facilities...
Judson's facilities include an 18-stall barn, two tack rooms, a feed room and wash rack. We are among the only colleges in Alabama to own a covered riding arena. Completed in 2007, this arena is 35,000 square feet and includes a 120 by 200 foot clear span riding area. Phase two in construction of this new equine area will eventually include the addition of a new 12,000 square foot barn with 30 stalls. 

Additional facilities include a jumping field in the center of campus and trail riding. All facilities are located on campus, within walking distance. Students wishing to use school horses may choose from a diverse group of approximately 15 dependable mounts.

A Stepping Stone...
A minor in Equine Science offers many advantages to the student interested in recreational riding or various equine career fields including: Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medical Technology, Showing, Riding, Breeding, Training, and Rider Instruction.

Our graduates are barn managers, riding instructors, trainers, barrel racers, rodeo queens, 3-day eventers, hunter jumpers and western pleasure riders. Judson can boast that one of our alumnae received the prestigious AQHA Award for Best of America's Horses, while others have qualified for World Championship Shows and Events in their respective disciplines.
