Your career development is an on-going, lifelong process which involves four key tasks:

 1). Personality

"Who am I?" Consider who you are and how God has designed you. What are your interests, abilities, values, gifts, talents, temperament, etc.? Understanding your personality will begin to direct you into the types of careers that will fit you.

2). Purpose

"What do I want to do? What is God's will for my life?" Exploring various careers and academic major possibilities through research and experience will provide valuable data for deciding on your career.

3). Preparation

"How do I get ready for my career?" Through academics, extracurricular involvements and experience in your field you will gain valuable skills that future employers will look for. There is much you can do throughout your college years to prepare for your career.

4). Placement

"How do I get a job?" A strategic job search which includes networking, a quality resume, sharp cover letters and professional interviewing will greatly increase your chances to land the job offer you want. You'll need to know where to look for job openings and know how to research potential employers.
