The Education Department is comprised of ElementaryEducation, Secondary Education and Music Education. Because of the faculty's strong commitment to career preparation, graduates with teaching degrees have a high degree of placement in both public and private schools throughout the country. This includes both on-campus and distance-learning students.
Kappa Delta Epsilon (KDE) is the education honor society. KDE has an active on-campus membership dedicated to service within the community. Past activities include raising money for the Relay for Life and participating in service-learning projects.
* Alabama Journey - Perry County-And Beyond The Education Department hosted a special history conference on October 20, 2010. Noted historians, artists, musicians and presenters spoke to several hundred fourth-graders throughout the area invited to attend.
