10/7/2007 - Judson College Students Receive Grant to Open Boutique on Campus Judson College business students received a $500 grant through "Students in Free Enterprise," an international organization that partners with college students to develop projects that concentrate on market economics, success skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and business ethics. The college's small business management class and SIFE Club members will use the grant to open a business on campus. The Ivy Vine, a gift boutique, will celebrate its grand-opening on Oct. 28 from noon until 4 p.m. Festivities and a raffle are planned for the big day and refreshments will be served. The public is cordially invited to attend. The boutique will offer silver and costume jewelry, accessories and various gift items and is located in the Blount Student Union Building. The Ivy Vine’s normal business hours will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month from noon until 4 p.m. Jo Ann Morina is SIFE club sponsor. |
