10/10/2007 - Auburn University Professor To Discuss The Next Generation Of Women Leaders

Dr. Paula Bobrowski of Auburn University will present a lecture titled “Developing the Next Generation of Women Leaders” on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Adams-Armstrong Lecture Hall at Judson College in Marion.

Bobrowski is Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development and Professor of Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University. She also serves as the executive director of the Women’s Leadership Institute, a five-day residential program conducted at Auburn that provides leadership training and networking opportunities for female undergraduate students.

Bobrowski’s presentation reports the findings of Auburn's “Study of Women in Leadership Positions: 2006 Census of Women Executive Officers and Directors.” She will discuss the results of the survey and the future of women’s leadership in Alabama and the nation.

The lecture is part of the 2007 College of Liberal Arts speakers bureau, a program linking the college faculty expertise to community needs in the state of Alabama. The program is administered by the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts.

There is no admission charge and the public is welcomed.
