1/27/2008 - Equestrians to compete at state horse fair - money, TV appearance among prizes Judson College student Joy Coppock of Lowndesboro, Ala. and equestrian adjunct teacher Janice Palmer Williams of Marion busied themselves during the Christmas break for competition in the 2008 Alabama Horse Fair. Both will compete in the "Ultimate Trail Horse Competition" in Montgomery on Jan. 27. The winner of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of $2,000, so Coppock is hopeful that she can take home the prize money for her education expenses. The entire Judson equestrian team plans to attend and cheer on their friends in the competition. The event will be judged by the "Best of America by Horseback" stars Tom Seay and Kerry Kuhn and filmed for a later release on RFD-TV. Williams is also a finalist in the "Horse Idol Competition. She will be competing and showcasing her talents during the Jan. 26 morning performance. The Alabama Horse Fair will be Jan. 26-27 at the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery.
