2/6/2008 - First ever Vulcan Materials scholarship awarded to Judson student Judson College sophomore Kendal Peacock is the recipient of the first Vulcan Materials scholarship sponsored by the Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. Birmingham-based Vulcan Materials established the scholarship last year by awarding $1000 for each of the 14 AAICU institutions in Alabama. The scholarship stipulates that all recipients must be Alabama students who demonstrate financial need and academic promise. Peacock, a psychology major, grew up in Opelika and is an '06 graduate of Beauregard High School. She now resides in Montgomery with her parents, Mike and Robyn Peacock.
