2/6/2008 - Judson alumna named teacher "Rookie of the Year" Shacovah Evans, a 2007 graduate of Judson College, has been named "Rookie of the Year" by the faculty of Ridgecrest Elementary School in Phenix City. The award is granted each year to a first-year teacher who shows promise. Evans graduated with a major in elementary education and teaches second grade at Ridgecrest. "My Judson education was very helpful," Evans said. "It prepared me well for what I'm doing now." Evans is the daughter of Freddy and Deborah Evans.
