5/12/2008 - The 'Horse Whisperer' returns to Judson College By Jennifer Hoggle
"Horse whisperer" Paul Daily of Jena, La. will return to Judson College in Marion on May 14 to showcase his skill in working with an untamed horse. During a 90 minute presentation Daily will catch, saddle and ride an unbroken horse. The technique of horse whispering was made famous by the 1998 movie of the same name starring Robert Redford. The principle of horse whisperers is that of using no force nor causing pain to the animal. The event is co-sponsored by the Alabama Baptist Board of Missions, the Cahaba Baptist Association and the Judson College department of equine science. The event is scheduled in Judson's new covered riding arena on the east campus at 6 p.m. There is no admission charge and door prizes will be awarded.
