Other competitors included Lyndon State College or Vermont, Saint Mary of the Woods of Indiana, Southern Virginia University, Briarcliffe College of New York, Spalding University of Kentucky, Penn State-Beaver of Pennsylvania, and Robert Morris College of Illinois, the tournament host.

Judson won two key games and advanced to the semi-finial round where they were eliminated by Saint Mary of the Woods with a walk-off home run in the seventh inning.

Chelsea Chamberlain of Gardendale led the Judson team at bat with a batting average of .610 including four RBIs and one home run. Elyse McIntyre of Selma had three hits and two RBIs. Ashley Glass of Oneonta had a tournament batting average of .500.

Senior Bailey Bounds of Auburn led the team defensively, pitching four of the five games and was named to the All- Tournament Team.

"Our team did well, especially to have five freshmen," said coach Lee Jones. "We have plans of having a strong recruiting class in 2008-2009 and look forward to the tournament next year.”
