The former will emphasize Alabama's natural heritage of wildlife and the need to protect the natural habitats for these species, including both plants and animals. The latter will focus on the need to improve environmental awareness and conservation efforts in Alabama.Wilson, who has taught Biology at Judson since 1972 and is a staunch defender of preserving nearby Perry Lakes Park, will be speaking on The Greening of Alabama theme. The topic of his discussion will be "Saving a Mixed Hardwood Floodplain Forest: The Fight for Perry Lakes Park," and he will begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 15. |
