2/23/2009 - Music fraternity to honor Black History month with special program
The Judson College chapter of Delta Omicron music fraternity will present a special program of spirituals and poetry on Feb. 23 in honor of Black History Month. Special guest artist Ethelree Waite of Marion will read the poetry of Margaret Walker on the life of Harriet Tubman and Judson College artist-in-residence, Dr. Billie Jean Young, will present an original narrative. Familiar spirituals will be sung by Judson students Mary Amelia Taylor, Laura Noble, Deanna Waltman, Rebecca Chrzanowski, Sarah Jean Watters, Angelika Jenkins and the "Voices of Praise" vocal ensemble.
