9/28/2009 - $1000 Scholarship for Alabama Equestrians Article submitted by Jennifer Hoggle The annual Alabama Horse Council Scholarship of $1000 is awarded to an outstanding student in Alabama pursuing higher education in a college or university and who is, in some capacity, planning a career in the equine industry. The AHC Scholarship is awarded to the sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters of AHC members or the applicant may be an AHC member in good standing. Applicants should submit two letters of reference attesting to thier commitment to the equine industry, activity in the industry and personal character. Applications are available on the website, www.alabamahorsecouncil.org. Application deadline is Dec. 5. |
