Bell is the daughter of Mr. Johnnie Bell of Delta, Ala., and a 2009 graduate of Faith Assembly Christian School in Ashland. She is a double major in biology and chemistry at Judson and as a member of Judson's Science Club enjoys helping fellow students in chemistry study sessions. At Faith Assembly she won positions on the Scholar's Bowl Team and played volleyball and softball. She also won awards in puppet ministry. The UPS Educational Endowment Fund was initiated through endowment gifts from the UPS Foundation totaling $2 million and is now valued at $32 million. Since its inception, this fund has awarded over $44 million in scholarship support to over 15,000 students nationwide. In announcing this year's scholarships, Ken Sternad, president of The UPS Foundation, said, "Our young people, our communities, and our workforce all benefit from increased educational opportunities. The UPS Foundation is proud to continue our longstanding partnership to support the deserving students whose education these scholarships fund." The Judson grant was administered through the Alabama Association of Independent Colleges & Universities. *Article courtesy of the Judson College Public Relations Department.
