3/10/2010 - JC Art professor to showcase artwork The Art Department is very pleased to be showcasing the work of Judson College art professor Jamie Adams. The opening reception will be Wednesday, March 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Marian Acree Tucker Gallery. Adams will be on hand to discuss work. He will also give a lecture on his work before that, from 11:10 a.m. until 12 noon in Tucker Recital Hall that same day. His artwork involves images appropriated from old science fiction and horror films explored and recontextualized through the vernacular of toys and comics, exploring issues of contemporary masculine identity. Refreshments will be available. So make sure you come out on Wednesday to see the artwork, meet the artist, and eat some amazing food! Following the reception, the Art Club will give a presentation of The Gods Must Be Crazy. The public is welcome to attend the exhibit.
