9/3/2010 - Soccer team takes first victory of season

The Judson College Soccer team cinched their first win of the season on Saturday, August 28 against Copiah Lincoln Community College.  Eagles' freshman goalie, Rachel Walker tallied up five saves for the game .

Final score was 1-0, Judson.  

Tuesday, August 31, the Eagles endured an all out battle against Atlanta Christian College Chargers in Atlanta, Ga.

The Eagles' junior forward Lisa Dundore scored early in the first period of play, but the Chargers gained field possession within the six yard line, allowing them to score off of a corner kick. Eagles forward Lisa Dundore was once again in the middle of the Eagles' second goal as she assisted freshman forward Kacey Chance with her first goal of the 2010 campaign. Judson Head Soccer Coach Emanuel Stephens called the play "brilliant." 

But the Chargers didn't  let up:  thirty-five minutes within the second period, the Chargers' # 16 scored bringing the total score to 2-2.  Battling exhaustion, the two team's energy levels were down, but the crowd's momentum gushed onto the field, causing the game to go into two Overtimes, eventually leaving the final score at 2-2 in double Overtime.

Eagles play again on Saturday, September 4 against Huntingdon College at 3 p.m.
