2/19/2011 - JC to sponsor IHSA Show at new equine facility By Jennifer Hoggle The Judson College equestrian team will host a set of Intercollegiate Horse Show Association western shows on Feb. 19 under the covered arena at the new equine facility on Judson's campus. The IHSA-sanctioned event will be the only shows this year in Alabama. Invited teams include Berry College, Clemson University, Emory University, Erskine College, Furman University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, Lander University, North Georgia College and State University, the University of Georgia, the University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina - Aiken. The first show will begin at 9 a.m. and the second and final show will begin at 11 a.m. The public is invited to the shows, and there is no charge for admission. Judson's annual Spring Preview/Scholarship Day event will also be held on this day and all prospective students, parents and guests will have the opportunity to attend the show. Campus tours, scholarship testing, athletic and music tryouts and meetings with professors will also be available for those registered for the event.
