6/6/2011 - Marion Rodeo to Benefit Several Causes

Marion Rodeo to Benefit Several Causes

The Marion Rodeo on June 10-11 will offer attendees a number of opportunities to help others.

An enclosed donation trailer will be on site for victims of the recent tornados. Non-perishable food, clothes and household items are accepted. Siloam Baptist Church has offered to deliver the collected items.

Proceeds from the rodeo itself will be given to the SABRA Sanctuary in Selma that provides shelter for abuse victims.

And in support of cancer awareness for our community, rodeo organizers ask that everyone wear pink or blue on Friday night.

The rodeo will be at the Ralph Eagle Arena on Highway 14 in Marion. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. both nights. "Mutton Bustin'" starts at 6:30, Little Wranglers begin at 7:15 and the rodeo starts at 7:30.
