9/30/2011 - Judson College Names New Equestrian Team

The Judson College Equestrian Team is back in full swing and ready for action with a number of returning students and eight new team members. 

 

 

The new members of the hunt seat team include freshman Katie Beeman of Hurley, Miss.; junior/soph Olivia Breimhorst of Gardendale, Ala.; junior/soph Madelyn King of Collierville, Tenn.; freshman Libby Lemoine of Baton Rouge, La.; and freshman Taylor Whisenant of Pinson, Ala.

 

The new members of the western team include junior/soph Shelby Crews of Greenville, Ala.; junior/soph Christina Duke of Vestavia, Ala.; and freshman Rylee Parnell of Tibbie, Ala. 

 

Junior/soph Megan Cook from Bethel, Wash. and junior/soph Rebecca O’Neal of Chatom, Ala. will be showing in both hunt seat and western.

 

Returning hunt seat team members include senior Beverly Cox of Athens and junior/soph Faith Williams of Crossville.

 

Returning western team members include senior Jordyn Blackwell of Grand Bay, Ala.; senior  Lindy Cowart of Braxton, Ala.; junior/soph Jana Davenport of Jemison, Ala.; senior Corey Finlay of Oxford, Ala.; and senior Andrea Luckie of Alexander City, Ala.

 

The new teams are larger than in the past, and equine director Jennifer Hoggle believes it will be a good show season for the Judson team.
