2/6/2012 - Annual 'Gala' Feb. 9 at Judson College
By Brittany Hall, Student Writer
The Music Department of Judson College will host its annual Gala Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Alumnae Auditorium.
The Gala, a term used to describe a happy, extraordinary event, has been an ongoing tradition at Judson with the purpose of unifying the school and community through talent discovery.
“It’s such a variety of acts, and always a fun time,” said music professor Dr. Betty Campbell.
This year performers will exhibit a variety of acts, including singing, jazz piano, ballet and a martial arts demonstration, among others.
Campbell said participants include students and members of the community, and she expects the number to grow.
Those who would like to participate in the Gala should contact Campbell at 334-683-5189.
General admission will be $2.00 and all proceeds will go to the Delta Omicron scholarship fund.
