5/1/2012 - Judson College Senior Earns Therapeutic Horsemanship Certification

Judson College senior Jordyn Blackwell of Grand Bay, AL has been awarded registered level certification by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.

She received the certification after completing a seven-week program at Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship facility located in Wylie, Texas (equest.org). Blackwell plans to pursue a career teaching therapeutic horsemanship to special needs individuals and hopes one day to start a premier accredited therapeutic riding program in the Mobile County area.

Blackwell completed requirements for a bachelor's degree in equine studies at Judson last December and will be in the college's annual commencement in June. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Gwen Blackwell of Grand Bay.
