9/6/2012 - Judson Community and ‘Marion Matters’
Judson College students and faculty participated in the eighth annual "Marion Matters" on Aug. 25, a community-wide service blitz that culminated the college's Welcome Week for its 175th academic session. “The main purpose of ‘Marion Matters’ is to encourage new students to get involved in the community and to set the tone for service-learning," said Susan Jones, Judson's director of faith-based service and learning. "It’s a great start-of-the-year for the office of faith-based service and learning. It was also really great to see how excited the students were." Frances Ford of Sowing Seeds of Hope noted "‘Marion Matters’ is always a bright spot for Marion. There are some many good things Judson students do without looking for rewards or pay in return. Judson truly is a blessing for Perry County."
