Eagles Athletics adds new recruits for fall

The Judson College Eagles athletic program recently added new recruits for the 2017-2018 year.

Basketball

Libby Whitten signed with Judson Basketball on March 15. Libby plays the guard position at Fyffe High School and will step into an active role for the Eagles this fall. She plans to major in Criminal Justice.  “Libby is an exceptional student-athlete,” said Head Basketball Coach Matt Durkin. “Her academic achievements, solid character and basketball skill and ability reveal a person with a great work ethic and positive attitude.”

Soccer

Rebecca Ulrich signed with Judson Soccer on February 1 in Jacksonville, AL. Rebecca will graduate from Jacksonville High School this May. She will play the defender position alongside her older sister Hannah for the Judson Eagles this fall. Rebecca plans to major in Elementary Education.

Brianna Arriaga signed with Judson Soccer on February 22. Brianna will graduate from Lee High School in Huntsville, AL this spring. She joins the Eagles in the goalkeeper’s position. She plans to be a Pre-Law major at Judson.

Brittany Martin signed with Judson Soccer February 13. Brittany is completing her senior year at Oak Grove High school and played club soccer for BUSA.  She will join the Eagles as a midfielder in the fall and plans to study Biology.

Callie Donahue signed with Judson Soccer on March 31st. Callie is completing her senior year at Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. She will join the Eagles as midfielder and plans to study English.

Camry Sturdivant of Columbus, Mississippi, signed with Judson Soccer on April 3. Camry is completing her final year at Columbus High School. She will join the Judson community as an undeclared major, and she’ll join the Eagles team a forward.

“I’m really excited about this 2017 recruiting class,” said Head Soccer Coach Justin Pino’. “This group brings some great talent and depth to our team. It makes me extremely proud to hear how excited these young ladies are to have the opportunity not only to play soccer, but to be a part of the Judson College community.”

Softball

Jesslyn Richardson signed with Judson Softball on March 20. Jesslyn is a senior at Sipsey Valley H. S. She will join the pitching roster for the Eagles.  “We’re glad to have Jesslyn join our program and look forward to her helping us out on the mound,” said Head Softball Coach Lee Jones.
