Lagrange, GA – The Judson Eagles battled until the end in a 3 set match against the Lady Panthers of LaGrange College last night (Oct. 9). The Eagles lost in 3 sets, but Coach Sherbrook is reassured that the team will be on an upswing when key players are back in the rotation.
Date: 10/9/17
Location: LaGrange College, Georgia
Result: Lost in 3
Highlights: Nearly defeated LaGrange College in the third game; lost 25-23. Macie Lee did a great job filling in at libero position for the injured Kayla Oliver. The team adjusted both its defense as well as its offense and regained momentum as the evening progressed; the Eagles simply had fewer unanswered kills than the Panthers. After a slow start, the Eagles took a tough loss that third set.
Quote: From Freshman Bri Escott: “We need to focus on gaining momentum more quickly rather than having to fight from a deficit. We’re looking forward to pushing harder early on in games.”
