Judson College music professor to give voice recital on Jan. 6

Sadie Frazier, adjunct music professor at Judson College, will give a voice recital on campus on Tuesday, January 6 at 6:30pm in Alumnae Auditorium.

Frazier teaches voice, vocal pedagogy, and music history at Judson.  In addition to teaching at Judson, Frazier is a current doctoral student at the University of Alabama. Her pianist, Tracy Chang ofTaipei, Taiwan, is a doctoral student in piano performance at the University of Alabama.    “I am blessed to be able to coordinate my upcoming recital with my pianist and my great colleagues to be able to put this on at Judson,” Frazier said.

Frazier is a native of Tampa Bay, Fla. She received a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and a master’s degree in music education from Samford University in Birmingham. She also holds a master’s degree in voice and opera from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

Since returning to Alabama, Frazier has been a part of the Birmingham Chamber Chorus and was the soprano soloist in the premiere of Terre Johnson’s Missa Femina. Frazier is a professional chorister and vocal coach at Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham.
