Judson equestrienne advances to IHSA regionals

Judson senior Sara Jean Lane has qualified to compete in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Regional Show at Auburn University on Saturday, March 4.  Lane qualified in Class 1, Walk-Trot Hunter Seat Equitation and will compete in Saturday’s show at the Auburn Equestrian Facility (1235 Wire Road in Auburn, Alabama) at 9:00a.m.

To qualify for the Regional Show, riders must accumulate a certain number of points based on their placings in shows throughout the regular show season. Lane, a math, music, and English major from Conyers, Georgia, represented Judson well this season, earning two first place ribbons in Walk Trot before advancing to the next class, Walk, Trot, Canter, in which she also earned ribbons.

The top two riders at the Regional Show will progress to the next level of competition, Zone Championships, which will be held in Ocala, Florida, on April 1.
