Judson College is proud to announce its first annual volleyball summer camp, to be held this June on the college’s campus in Marion, Ala. The camp will be hosted by coaching staff and Judson Eagles volleyball team members.
The camp will serve girls ages 9-17 (entering grades 4-12) and will be held on Monday and Tuesday June 26 and 27 from 9am to 2pm each day. For younger players, the main focus of the camp will be fundamental skills, from proper body positioning and footwork to proper hand and arm positioning when passing and setting to arm-swing when serving and hitting. Older student-athletes will have opportunities not only to revisit fundamentals but also to focus on game-like movement, drills, and open play, as well as getting to know some of Judson’s volleyball team members.
Said Sherbrook, “I’m super excited to be able to meet local players and coaches and get to build solid, ongoing relationships with them. We at Judson are eager to serve our community and are thrilled to be able to offer opportunities for girls and young women to play and develop their love of the game.”
