Judson to host “Treats on Bibb Street” Oct. 31

On October 31 from 5:00-6:30pm, Judson’s annual Treats on Bibb Street will be held on Bibb Street, the street in front of the main entrance to the Judson campus.

Sponsored by Judson’s Office of Faith-Based Service and Learning, Treats on Bibb Street is an alternative Halloween event that provides local children with a safe and fun trick-or-treating experience. Campus clubs and organizations set up games and activities and provide candy for the event.

Amy Butler, Director of the Office of Faith-Based Service and Learning, is “very excited” about the activities each organization is planning. “[Treats on Bibb Street] isn’t just a regular carnival; many of the booths’ activities are designed with learning in mind. Kids will come away with not just candy, but a screen print that they made or a pumpkin they decorated. You won’t get that at other trick-or-treat events.” Program-specific booths include exploding pumpkins with Chemistry Club, breaking pinatas with Spanish Club, and screen printing with Art Club. Other activities include pumpkin decorating, coloring, go-fishing, bowling, and face painting.

All children ages 12 and under are welcome. Admission to the event is free. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
