Wall of the Unreached exhibit on display in Jewett Hall

The Judson College Introduction to Missiology class and Judson College Campus Ministries are co-hosting a traveling exhibit called The Wall of the Unreached. On display in the Jewett Hall Foyer from October 10 through October 13, the free exhibit consists of panels listing the names of approximately 7,000 people groups who are identified as “unreached” by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In order to encourage pioneer church-planting movements and to facilitate coordination of mission agency efforts, the non-profit Joshua Project aims to develop a complete list of the world’s ethnic peoples. From this list, Joshua Project identifies a subset of unreached / least-reached peoples among whom less than 2% identify as evangelical and less than 5% as professing Christian.

Unleashed 4 the Unreached, the provider of theĀ Wall exhibit, uses the Joshua Project “unreached” list to construct its exhibit panels. “Unleashed” is an initiative that connects local churches and mission groups with unreached peoples and cities. According to Laura Lee, Judson College Campus Minister, the exhibit is designed to “convey the true immensity of reaching the world’s remaining unreached peoples with the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.

The exhibit experience is focused on prayer for the unreached people groups of the world. Prayer guides for the exhibit may be found on the table at the exhibit’s beginning in the Jewett Hall Foyer.

At Campus Ministries’ Monday night REVIVE gathering (October 10), more information will be shared about the exhibit, unreached peoples, and each Christian’s role in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). REVIVE meets in Ramsay-McCrummen Chapel from 7:00pm-8:00pm.
