Education

The Judson College Education Department is committed to engaging the minds and hearts of its students, preparing them for teaching in K-6 and high school classrooms.   Our students don’t just receive instruction from their professors; they develop mentoring relationships with them. Professors travel with students to attend educational conferences and encourage them to participate in local, state, and national education-based organizations, but they also participate with them in service-learning projects at local schools, help them with fundraising, take them on Habitat for Humanity trips, and even coach them in tennis!

A Judson education student may choose a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, or she may choose from an array of content areas for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in our secondary education program.

Judson education students participate in the Beta Rho chapter of Kappa Delta Epsilon (KDE), which has an active on-campus membership. Members of KDE are encouraged to attend local, regional and national meetings and are dedicated to service in the Marion, Alabama, community. Recent activities include fundraising for Relay for Life and the purchase and distribution of textbooks at a local elementary school.
