Online Adjunct Instructor(s)
Judson College, a private college of arts, sciences, and professional studies located in Marion, Alabama, and situated in the Baptist tradition, invites applications for online adjunct instructors in various disciplines. All academic faculty must hold a Master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours from a regionally accredited institution in the teaching field. Additionally, all must be comfortable teaching online and using the technology required by Judson College.
Judson’s online courses are conducted as one-on-one classes with one instructor and one student per course. Courses are offered, and adjuncts offered contracts, as there is need for the course. The courses are designed using the prescribed technology (Moodle) and are reviewed by the Director of Distance Learning and the appropriate Academic Department Head at intervals. The instructor is compensated $100 per credit hour at the completion of the course.
Applicants should submit a:
- Completed Judson Application
- Current Resume
- Unofficial Transcript (an official copy will be needed before the adjunct can be hired)
- A statement of the teaching philosophy as it pertains to distance learning and how the instructor views Judson’s faith-based mission and how they fit into that mission
- Name and contact information of three references who can attest to the applicant’s work ethic and/or teaching ability.
