Dear Judson Community,
Following Alabama Governor Ivey’s announcement to keep K-12 schools closed to face-to-face instruction through the remainder of the Alabama public school year ending on June 5, the College has determined it will not offer Short Term courses in classroom settings on campus. The faculty will teach the required courses during Short Term through online delivery. There will be no on-campus housing or dining service provided during Short Term. Personnel will continue to work from campus with the exception of those commuting from high-density populations where the virus has spread more rapidly. In addition to these changes to class delivery and campus-based student services, the College has cancelled or postponed all campus events scheduled for April and May. These include basketball tryouts, prospective student preview day, new student orientation and registration, the Alabama Baptist Minister’s Golf Tournament, as well as individual, prospective student campus visits. Additionally, the College will not host outside groups for the foreseeable future.
At this point in time, the College is planning to host the June 16 new student orientation and registration event and the June 27 Commencement.
Please know that your College continues to monitor the extent of our current public health crisis on a daily basis and will make other decisions as conditions warrant.
Sincerely and respectfully,
Mark Tew, Th.D.
