History and Criminal Justice students assist with free legal advice clinic
Students in Judson’s History and Criminal Justice departments volunteered with a free legal clinic given by attorney Adele Baker Underwood of the Baker Underwood Law Firm. The clinic was held Oct. 13 at the Sowing Seeds of Hope Job Training Center in Marion for residents of Perry County.
Underwood, a practicing attorney in Montgomery, is a graduate of Judson College and Jones School of Law who said that offering free legal advice clinics in Marion is a dream realized. “It is something I have worked toward for years, and it has finally come to fruition,” said Underwood. “I am beyond excited to give back to the community that gave me so much during my undergrad years.”
Underwood said she hopes to host more clinics in Marion in the future.
