Judson begins Spring 2020 Chapel season
Judson College kicked off its Spring Chapel season Tuesday with a message from Michael Luna, member of Hunter Street Baptist Church in Birmingham. Luna is part owner and operations manager of Blue Rain Express Car Wash in Birmingham and leads a small group (of which Drs. Parham and Sheek are members) at Hunter Street.
Luna spoke on Judson’s current student life theme “Leave Your Mark” using text from James 1, which exhorts believers to be “doers of the Word, and not hearers only”. Luna encouraged the Judson community to focus on truly hearing God’s word and letting it change how they speak and interact with others. “If you want to leave your mark,” Luna said, “let God’s Word guide you, let your speech be filled with grace and care, and look to help those who are most vulnerable in society.”
Each Tuesday of the Spring 2020 semester, the Judson community will meet for a Chapel service of worship, reflection, and learning. Chapel events begin at 11:05am in Ramsay-McCrummen Chapel in Jewett Hall and are free and open to the public.
