Judson team competes in intercollegiate horse show Nov. 7-8

The Judson College equestrian teams traveled to Rome, Ga. over the weekend of November 7 and 8 to compete in the Intercollegiate Horse Show hosted by Berry College.

For the Hunt Seat team, Kailee Ramsey of Somerville, Ala. placed 6th intermediate Flat and 5th in her jumping class, Intermediate Over Fences.  Sheila Palmer of Hoover, Ala. and Sara Alsabrook of Centreville, Ala., placed 4th in their Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter divisions. Sara Jean Lane of Conyers, Ga., placed 3rd in Walk/Trot.

Western team member Mary Kilpatrick of Dothan Ala., placed 3rd in Open Reining and 4th in Open Horsemanship. Alex Huber of Mechanicsburg, Penn., placed 5th in Advanced Horsemanship.   Kricket Wise of Pensacola, Fla., placed 2nd in Novice Horsemanship.  Chloey Guy of Navarre, Fla., was reserve rider for Intermediate Horsemanship. 

Sunday’s show was Hunt Seat only. Kailee Ramsey placed 4th in her Flat and Jumping classes.  Alex Huber placed 4th in Novice Flat. In different divisions of Walk/Trot/Canter, Sara Alsabrook placed 5th, Sheila placed 3rd, and Abigail Wood of South Cape, Africa, placed 5th. Sara Jean Lane finished 3rd in her Walk/Trot class.

The Hunt Seat team’s next show will be the weekend February 6th, when they will travel back to Georgia for a show hosted by Georgia College.

The Western team travels back to Berry College to compete November 21.
