Judson College Drama department to present Crimes of the Heart

The Judson College Drama department will present Crimes of the Heart, Beth Henley’s Pulitzer Prize winning drama, November 14-16 (Thursday through Saturday) at 7:00 P.M.  Directed by Artist-in-Residence Dr. Billie Jean Young, the story focuses on the Magrath sisters – Lenny, Meg, and Babe – who reunite at the family home in Hazlehurst, Mississippi after Babe shoots her abusive husband, a state senator. Past resentments bubble to the surface as the women deal with relatives and previous relationships while coping with the latest incident that disrupts their dysfunctional lives.  Touching, tragic, and immensely funny, Crimes of the Heart has been described as a darkly comic family feud of epic proportions.

Produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, the cast includes Judson students Carmen Stewart, Heather Waterhouse, Haley White, Sandy Lockhart, Kandy Murphy, Emily Dickerson, and Ali Haynes.

The public is welcomed. There is no admission fee.
